Holly MacLean is an emerging visual artist based in South West Australia.

After traveling extensively in Europe and being inspired by new and ancient colours, flavours and lifestyles, Holly returned to Perth and studied fashion and textile design where she honed her drawing, sewing, and design skills as well as personal aesthetic.

Holly's pieces have a unique brooding sensual atmosphere which is carried by the bold use of shadow creating movement and volume. The characters are inspired by a mix of strangers on the street, dreams, imagination, and still life all coming together to create tantalizingly ambiguous narratives to beguile and intrigue the viewer.
